Minimally Invasive Dentistry

SDF (Silver Diamine Fluoride) Tooth decay is the most common preventable condition in children, but with proper care, it can be avoided. Traditional cavity treatments often involve drilling and filling that may cause some level of discomfort. At our practice, we focus on using the most conservative methods whenever possible, and one such option is Silver Diamine Fluoride (SDF).

SDF is a blue liquid that targets cavities directly with its antimicrobial properties. By applying it to the affected area, we stop decay and eliminate harmful bacteria, all without drilling or the need for anesthesia. It’s a fast, effective, and pain-free solution, perfect for treating small cavities. For larger cavities, SDF helps  ‘buy time’ and can prevent further damage until more permanent treatments can be considered. It also supports remineralization of the tooth.

How is SDF Treatment Performed?

The treatment is completed in under two minutes. Our experienced staff will apply the SDF solution to the cavity using a brush. This method is painless and ensures a positive experience for your child. Following SDF treatment, we’ll guide you in establishing a plan to keep your child’s teeth healthy and minimize the risk of future cavities. Call us today to begin your child’s path to a healthier smile!
ICON Resin Infiltration - ICON (Infiltration Concept) is a non-invasive, pain-free treatment that’s ideal for young children. This method requires no drilling or anesthesia, making it a gentle way to stop the progression of early cavities and white spot lesions. The procedure involves applying a light-curable resin to infiltrate the tooth, halting decay and seamlessly blending with the natural enamel to improve the appearance of white spots. It's a simple and effective way to preserve your child’s smile.

Restorative Care

Dental Fillings

Cavities come in all shapes and sizes, but no worries—we’ve got you covered at Giggles Pediatric Dentistry! For those tiny cavities that are hard to see, we can fix them with tooth-colored white fillings. Thanks to our digital X-rays, we catch these sneaky spots before they grow into bigger problems. Our mission is to stop cavities in their tracks and keep your child’s smile sparkling!

Big cavities are much easier to see with the naked eye! If a large cavity is on a back tooth, we’ll place a durable stainless steel crown or a white crown to protect it. If the cavity has reached the pulp, we may need to perform a gentle baby nerve treatment to clear out the infected pulp and save the tooth. We’re here to make sure your child’s teeth stay healthy, no matter the size of the cavity!

Dental Crowns

At Giggles Pediatric Dentistry, we offer both white zirconia and stainless-steel crowns to meet your child’s dental needs. These crowns are designed to cover and protect damaged teeth, providing strength and durability. Zirconia crowns blend seamlessly with natural teeth, while stainless steel crowns are perfect for the back molars. Whether it's for a broken tooth, a large cavity, or following endodontic treatment like a pulpotomy, a crown restores both function and appearance, keeping your child's smile strong and beautiful!
